A memorial service for Sanchia Callender, a beloved member of the Children's Home team in Schenectady who passed away suddenly in August, is scheduled for Saturday, September 23, at 1 p.m., at Duanesberg Florida Baptist Church, 7967 Rt. 30, Duanesberg.
The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s fourth-annual Schenectady Out of the Darkness Community Walk is set for Saturday, Sept. 30, starting at noon at the Pavilion in Central Park. We are participating as an event sponsor and as a community resource in the fight to prevent suicide, and are assembling a team to walk as well.
A friend of the organization has donated the following prize to be awarded to a Northern Rivers employee: A round of golf with carts for four at the private Colonie Country Club in Voorheesville, to be used any time before November 15.
